The Younger Races

The Lastäri • Children of the Woods

Small people who hide in their woods. They have no whites in their eyes. The most common eye color is blue, followed by green, then violet, and black. They are empaths.

The green eyed Lastäri are an extreme kind of projective empath and are always male. For a long time, the Lastäri had a reputation for being cannibals, as people who bothered them were found dead with chunks missing from their bodies as if they'd been chewed on. Turns out the missing parts were a spiritual effect of having one emotions fed back on one self in a self-amplifying loop. This probably explains why the Ganesh will not bother the Lastäri and why, in Ganesh traditions, devils have green eyes.

The violet eyed Lastäri are always female and are the priestesses of their people.

The Nwalgatäri • Children of the Hills

Similar in look to the Lastäri except they have yellow, golden, or brown eyes. They prefer rough, hilly terrain, preferably the foot hills of mountains. They are craftsmen with jewelry, pottery, and small mechanisms. If you are looking for a dragon killing sword, look somewhere else. If you are looking for a good kitchen knife, or matching place setting, they're your folk. Shyer than the Lastäri, much of their trade is done through the Lastäri or the few humans they've befriended.

The Shawtäri • Children of Marshes and Flowing Waters

Similar in look to the Lastäri, but with bluish skin and bluish-grey or greenish-grey eyes. They live in Marshes, but are occasionally found in, or near rivers and large streams.
